In seven days...I will be in Alaska.
Prep for Alaska:
1. camping gear: sleeping bag, tent, sleeping pad..etc
2. support and thank you notes
3. prayer
4. facing some intense spiritual battles
5. growing a beard
6. not showering in the next 7 days....okay...maybe once
7. carpe diem
8. buying a sweet man journal
9. looking at possible tattoos to match the animal i wrestle bare handed and dominate
10. accept the fact that I just might have to eat sea food
11. practice fly casting
12. practice harmonica
13. find the manliest smelling soap and shampoo to be used sparingly
13. read the the roughest, toughest, man stories in the Bible like Sampson
14. be prepared that number 13 leads to me discovering the humblest of man stories in Alaska
15. start doing push ups and sit ups so that i can ensure to hold my own in the potential manly games to be played...maybe even run a bit
16. read some more of Robert Frost poetry
17. buy a good book to read
18. pack for clemson (I get back august 18)
19. get a new mp3
20. live each day as it comes
Today...I saw my dad (I just arrived in SC from WI), got a sweet tent, glasses, support money, heard some of my family's plan to raise support for me in MS, good supper, good conversations, and finally got to drink sweet tea after spending a week up north.
And now...it's time to praise God
