Open Them Ears Up

How long before people's ears are opened? How long before people fathom what there ever hearing ears listen too?

What do men value? More and more people are seeking the treasures of the world. More and more people are consumed by their greed and hopelessness and selfishness. Man kind has not changed. Nor will it. As technology progresses and as science progresses in better understanding the world, man will find new ways to feed their thirst that never dies. Man values man above all else. The world has become dark as man has succumbed to the world and its prince. They have defied and rejected the living God. Man is slave to the world and its prince. They are sons of the prince of the world. They have lost all ability to see light in their pursuit of self.

The men of the world move to their destruction. For death is the wage of sin. A literal death of disease, hate, lust, laziness, greed, infection, failing bodies, and battles. But this death does not stop at the flesh. One day they will see the light and face judgment and will be dead for all of eternity. Forever they will be separate from the presence of God.

There is a hope. There is a light that has shone since the beginning. It shines still and cannot be hid. It pierces darkness for darkness cannot be of the light. Light conquers the darkness. God, Jesus, He has been the light. He has conquered darkness by becoming flesh, living according to His, God's, will. He was man, but did not succumb to the world and its prince. He glorified God, Himself and has and will smash the serpent's head with His foot. He conquered the literal death, the greatest power of the prince, and cannot face an eternal death from Himself.

This light shines, that all who believe in Jesus as God and what He accomplished, may not face eternal death. God came to man and saved him from the chains that hold him to sin. He came, that we may live a life of freedom, to our joy...but not for our joy, but for His glory.

Joy, peace, patience, kindness, love, hope. Everything people have longed for and seek can be found in the Holy Spirit. But these things sought cannot be earned or won; they are a gift given to those who submit their whole self to Jesus.

How long before man will hear? How long before God reveals His glory? How long will God put up with man's sin? To those who have heard, rejoice, for you will know God.
