As real as it gets

Some say that time heals all wounds. Lies.

Sitting around waiting for some pain to go away simply does not happen. Anyone who sits and waits, welcomes death and their destruction. Your heart will go numb and cold. There is no healing...you simply learn to live with the pain.

Sometimes there are other things in life that prevent you from dealing with your pain. You hurt deeply, but you can't think about it because situation "x" takes priority. Eventually, situations x, y, and z will run out and you will have to deal with the pain. Or perhaps you will generate other situations like AA or AB so that you never have to recognize the problem. Again, the pain never goes away. It sits like a thorn in your side and buries itself deep into you.

Time cannot heal any wound. For physical wounds, your body actively fights and works to heal itself...it doesn't simply sit there and wait. Sometimes we have to perform surgery or apply medicine to assist the healing process. Well the same thing happens emotionally and spiritually. If you believe in the atonement of sins through Jesus Christ who is God, then the Holy Spirit is constantly fighting for you. But also, you yourself must get on your knees and humble yourself before the LORD that He may heal you. Sometimes you must repent of your sins. But never are you to sit and wait and think that perhaps God will simply just take this away from me, or that it will take care of itself.

Sin runs rampant in this world. Sin runs rampant in our blood and flesh. The war is real...dealing with sin, whether your sins or the world and people sinning against you, can be a painful process. Sometimes it takes years! But rejoice, all you believers in Christ Jesus, for He has conquered sin and you are free from the bondage of the eternal effects of sin! Believers will be sanctified! And through sanctification, God reveals His fatherly love for us. Praise be to God who holds the world in the palm of His hand! And knows the numbers of hairs on your head!
