Tonight. Tonight is the night where the fun begins. Where boys find out they're men. Where we take off our shirts and see who can throw up the most weight. Where we put holes in the wall from playing basketball. Where Mrs. Wise and family cooks an amazing meal for all of the men heading towards Daytona Beach with CCC. Tomorrow marks the long drive down to Daytona. Plenty of bonding in the car--singing songs, playing the would you rather game, telling stories, talking about the excitement of a week at the El Carib and almost getting hit by cars driving on the beach. There is the volleyball games, there is the speaker, there are the creative dates, the table game, there are the fifty cent refills, the tug-of-war, tag on the beach at night, there is sharing the Gospel so that all may be held accountable, there is diving into God's word, there is hanging out with people in need of truth and love...Daytona.
As excited as I am about Daytona, there was plenty to be excited about this week. There's something to be excited about everyday. Tuesday the Lord gathered 4 men with similar hearts to pray for the campus. These 4 men were brought together in likeness in heart that they may serve God. So I'm excited what these 4 men will do for the Lord. Wednesday was one of those rough days where everything seems to be going against you and you have no idea why, no idea what's going on, no idea what to do, but God is faithful and He takes care of you. Yesterday, I was assured of another believer in our Bible Study...there is nothing more exciting than knowing that someone else is a believer, or that someone else has become a believer.
P.S. When you step up to the plate, the Lord is with you. If He is with you, who can be against you? The world will hate you, will do anything to destroy your heart and bring you down. But if you hold fast to the truth, they become nothing compared to the vastness of my God. He will devour them, and they will receive their due justice. Live in truth and grace and He will Father you.
