Sometimes I wonder why I do this...anyway:
I will use a metaphor (if you didn't know...I love to describe situations in metaphors). I have all these pieces that lie before me. I have studied most of the pieces thoroughly and understand the value that each piece holds. I just seem to have a problem of putting all of these pieces together. The frustration part comes when others have the box in front of them and they know (or atleast seem to know) exactly what the puzzle looks like. The rub is, is that they cannot place the pieces together. They will never have the satisfaction of putting the pieces together. They can never fully understand or appreciate the process of fitting the pieces together.
So each person has their own puzzle to put together. Each person will experience the frustration that I feel now. You seem to understand all these pieces and you continue to discover new pieces. You know their color inside out and you have a good idea of where the piece goes in the puzzle, but you can't just put the pieces together. And there is someone, maybe more, out there who knows exactly what the puzzle looks like. Of course God, my Father, knows exactly what the puzzle looks like. Perhaps others might be able to recognize my puzzle. Or perhaps, your puzzle looks similar to mine and you can offer guidance.
I am frustrated. To maintain focus is tough. Got to stick with it, can't let it go unfinished. You can't force the pieces together either, it ruins the picture that the puzzle creates...and the pieces will have to be pulled apart and used elsewhere.
Everything seems so close, yet so far away.
There is hope though. I have no option, but to persevere. My God is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and He is mighty to save! All one can do is sit in awe and revere. Live life to its fullest. To take joy in life and what it has to offer for the Lord has blessed you to live a life to bring Glory to His Name. There is nothing more exciting than to see your heart line up with God's will. "Man makes plans in his heart, but the Lord determines his steps."
Sometimes you have to just quit looking at the pieces and start trying to piece them together, careful to not to ruin them. As Robert Frost wrote:
Even the bravest that are slain. Shall not dissemble their surprise on waking to find valar reign, even as on earth, in paradise; and where they sought without sword wide fields of asphodel fore'er, to find that the utmost reward of daring should still be to dare.
Beautiful.
