Oh boy!

Oh boy is right! I could stinkin' write a book over the last 16 days so much has happened. I'll start out saying, you ought to go watch the movie Blood Diamond. One of the few movies I've watched that makes you want to get up and do something.

Speaking of doing something, I can pretty much some up most of my thoughts by just saying what does it take to be a man. And what does it take to be a Godly man. How do you find that path, and how do you know you are on it? True men are hard to find these days, even more so for Godly men. So who's to show the path for the youth? I just started reading a book by John Eldridge called The Way of the Wild Heart and it's pretty sweet. I love how he writes and how he introduces what he is writing. It is not filled with scripture left and right. It is writing off of his meditation and is simply putting out his thoughts. He introduces this book as but a map, and the reader chooses the path and can see part of the path he is to take, but actually traveling the path is completely different. I love it.

Maryland is pretty sweet other than crowded cities and traffic. The landscape is beautiful and the state has a lot of history. Mississippi is not pretty sweet. My cousins hang out in a parking lot for entertainment. At the bowling alley, the scoring machine didn't work, the drink machine didn't work, you can play pool for 50 cents but we got 2 cue balls stuck somehow. MS still has dirt roads. Pretty interesting. The people sure are proud though. Some of it is good some of it is pretty bad.

Christmas break has been good, slow but good. Left a lot of time for thinking which I'm not even going to get into.

A lot has happened, and I'm ready for the new year. Maybe I'll add more later.

Happy New Year
