So...Clemson won today...that's always good. Afterwards though, the world continues the attack...so a trip to Walhalla was in store. All I could do was relate the weather to my Spiritual battle. You drive into the storm to almost certain death...you actually wouldn't mind death to rid of all the pain. There's a break in the clouds ahead and there is hope that you'll make it through to brighter days. Traveling on you lose sight of the break, and it's dark all around...but you know the sun is still up. The rain begins to pour. All seems pretty much hopeless...you only press on by something inside of you. I didn't know where I was going, I was just going. The turns are sharp and can be unexpected and it's dark outside ontop of that. Just like in life...left in the dark and not knowing what's going on around you..you have to focus on your path. Well a time comes when you're tired of pushing on and you just stop. You wait to see if the dark takes you home or if light will come to you. Neither happens. The darkness continues and so do you. I cry out on the harmonica. A new feeling begins to come as all your troubles are released. If the darkness continues and so do you...then your service is still required and there is hope. Then you begin to wonder if people notice the darkness that has surrounded them...or do they live in blindness claiming how is it dark when light bulbs light up the area. If this is the case...how will they ever recognize the darkness? and how can the understand the worth of true light...and the trouble they are in? And what purpose do I play in all this?
When the world begins to weigh you down, let it go. Remember that there's hope yet and that there is a purpose. Focus on what God has laid out for you. Focus on what truly is important...Focus on what you truly need. You need nothing more than God's grace and love. You need nothing more than God's strength and guidance. You need nothing more than God. You don't need friends, you don't need family, you don't need money, you don't need a name...all you need is God. Sometimes God uses friends/family/money and such...but they are gifts from God and sometimes taken away. But you will always have God. And He is faithful.
There is healing to be found, but duty is still required, for it is the reason you are here and the reason worth living as to serve your Father. There is nothing that can compare to the joy felt from pleasing your Father and finding favor from Him. Press on.
"The heart will mend. Your duty is to the people of the city."

"You go to certain death." "All death is certain."
